She has a great way of summing these things up. As you know, these cars aren't the easiest to work on, or keep in nice condition. She has observed the time and effort that I have put into mine - both the good days and the days that I have wanted to hit them with a sledgehammer. She knows that sometimes I am in the garage working on them, and sometimes I am just out there to get away from it all (yes I said it and yes "it all" sometimes includes the kids, other family members, even her as non-PC as that may sound). So her question, simply put, is as follows: "Well if you sold your car, what would you do with that part of your psyche that is fulfilled by constantly wrenching/washing/waxing/wrenching on that thing?"
